It’s either the feel of the paper or the smell. Sometimes, it’s both. Either way, I love books. I love them in paperback or hardcover form. I’m OK with e-books as well, but I’m not really reaching for them as much. Those are the upside to my relationship with books. I also have a problem with them.
I buy books like a person whose plan that day is to update his/her apocalypse food pantry. I can never have enough and it’s going to last me years. So far, I have bought more books than I have the chance to read them.
This list serves a couple of purposes: to clear out my shelves for more books that I can’t afford and to read more.
I’m capping my current list at five books, in random order.
- Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin*
- Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
- The Wonder by Emma Donoghue
- A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
- A Reunion of Ghosts by Judith Claire Mitchell
